The Wild Side of Harkreader Hills
These celebs have gone wild over math! We have been digging deep into the understanding that our numeral system is all based on units of 10. This leads to other base units of 100; 1,000; 10,000; even 1,000,000!! The celebs went so wild they created animals using base 10 blocks. They then recorded the value of their animal in standard form, word form, and expanded form. Check out the paparazzi pics of all these wild and crazy animals...

Behind the Scenes of Harkreader Hills
The celebrities have been busy writing their scripts for Parent Night. We wanted to give the parents a behind the scenes look at their learning stage and all the fun activities they do throughout their day. Celebs, pie, and good friends!
The paparazzi were on a quest to spot Paula Dean or Rachel Ray at Harkreader Hills but instead they were pleasantly surprised to spy the Harkreader Hills Celebrity Chefs baking up some Friendship Pie. After the Director Harkreader read the story, Enemy Pie, the celebs took to making their own version of Friendship Pie. Almost Showtime!
The Premiere of our 2013-2014 learning adventure is soon to begin. It was great to meet all the celebs at our Registration Nights! I am so looking forward to Monday, August 5th being our first day of school and starting this amazing learning adventure together. The classroom is set for a year that is sure to top the charts!
