Farewell to the Celebs of Harkreader Hills

Well, here we are at the end our learning season together. I am so proud at what shining stars you have all become. Whether we were learning about "The Georges" or building our stamina in Daily 5, you gave it your best and with enthusiasm. You met challenge after challenge that came your way! Your enthusiasm for learning and energy for life inspired me every day. I wish each and every one of you all the best in your future school and life experiences. Please remember that every story and every moment in life is important. Make the most of every day and waste not a single moment. You all have so many wonderful talents and special qualities that make you different and unique. See those differences as what sets you above and apart from everyone else. Take every opportunity that comes your way and strive to always give 100%. Thank you all for being a part of this chapter in my life's story, Mrs. Harkreader

Celebs travel to Mexico to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

The celebrities packed their bags and took a learning adventure to Mexico. They learned all about the history of the Mexican holiday, Cinco de Mayo. They learned there were many similarities between the Battle of Puebla and The Revolutionary War. On their learning adventure they also enjoyed making homemade salsa and creating mini pinatas. To end their celebration they choreographed with the other 4th grade classes a presentation to the Wiseman's Kindergarten thru 3rd grade classes. A Shining Star Performance

The celebrities of Harkreader Hills shared the J. W. Wiseman stage with Mrs. D's and Ms. Polston's class. They put on one magnificent performance. Each class was highlighted during the program and all the students really brought their best to make the program a success. Check out their Star Patriotic Performance Clips below....

ABC Countdown in Progress

The celebrities are in full ABC countdown to Summer. This past week we created a few activities to add to our summer boredom breakers! They first designed their own board game to help keep their math facts fresh over the summer. We spent way too much hard work to learn them and certainly don't want to lose them over the summer. We also created I Spy Bottles. They have trinkets inside to find, as well as, number and word cards. They can do silly sentence word hunts, or practice their computation skills. Luckily, the weather has cooperated and we have been able to enjoy more of the great outdoors for extra recess. Check out the paparazzi pics below....
