The paparazzi were on a quest to spot Paula Dean or Rachel Ray at Harkreader Hills but instead they were pleasantly surprised to spy the Harkreader Hills Celebrity Chefs baking up some Friendship Pie. After the Director Harkreader read the story, Enemy Pie, the celebs took to making their own version of Friendship Pie. It's Opening Day!

Opening day in 4th grade at Harkreader Hills has finally arrived. Your fans are ready and waiting! They have been so anxiously awaiting your arrival! The red carpet has been rolled out and the paparazzi are ready to take their million dollar shot! Your starring moment is only a few hours away! I have been so looking forward to us starting this year together. It will no doubt be an award-winning year!

Celeb Top 10 Poster Preview

I am just sooo anxious for school to start! It appears we are still in limbo as we wait for the County Commission to approve the School Board's proposal. At this point, the earliest start date is August 15th. I don't know about you, but I have moments of just not knowing what to do with my time. I will say, the extra time has given me the opportunity to discover some more new ideas for our classroom and I am MORE than prepped and ready to start. If you happen to be feeling a bit bored or looking for something creative to do, you can start on your Back to School project.
    As a celebrity of Harkreader Hills, your fans are interested to learn about your Top 10 favorites. These Top 10 favs can be anything pertaining to you and your life...family, music, friends, entertainment, etc... You will be creating a mini poster (small piece of posterboard) highlighting your Top 10. I have included the information below in case you want to get started. Please know you in NO way have to work on this before school starts..only if  you want to. I have included some photos of Top 10 Projects from years past to give you an idea of what the project can look like.

When will the celebs walk down the red carpet?

It was great to meet all the celebs at our Registration Nights! I was so looking forward to Monday, August 6th being our first day of school and am disappointed that our start has been delayed. I was hoping some decisions/compromises would be made at the meeting Monday night, but apparently we are still in limbo. I encourage the celebs to enjoy these extra days of summer break but don't lose your excitement about the start of school! I have so many fun, learning activities planned from day one and throughout the entire school year. I want you to be excited about starting your 4th grade year and know that I am anxiously awaiting our year together to begin.

**Those "antsy" to get started can start practicing those multiplication facts and read, read, read!
