The Celebs Explore the New World

The celebs have been studying about Colonial America and the New World. America became known as the melting pot when people moved here from so many other countries like Dutch, France, Germany and Great Britain. The celebs used their best baking skills to bake New World Candy. Each type of candy represented a different culture of people that came to the New World...White Chocolate-French, German Chocolate-Germans, Butterscotch-Dutch, and Milk Chocolate-Americans. These countries brought with them their knowledge, traditions, culture, and ways of living. Over time these have all "melted" together to create the America we have today. The celebs wrote their own New World recipes to add to their Colonial America Scrapbook. The celebs further put their cooking skills in action as they made sea biscuits. When the pilgrims traveled to the New World on the Mayflower, sea biscuits were one of the "treats" on the voyage. It is simply made with flour, salt and water. After making the sticky dough, the celebs cut out their sea biscuit and then baked them for 1 hour. After the sea biscuits cooled, the celebs gave them a try. They agreed that butter or jelly would have made them a bit more bearable! Check out the Paparazzi pics of our cooking experiences.
